Ingredients

The Cookies

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Cinnamon Sugar Topping

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

White Chocolate Garnish

  • 1 16 oz bag white chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare baking sheets.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Beat butter and sugar until creamy, then add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients.
  5. Shape dough into balls and roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Place on baking sheets and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
  7. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.
  9. Dip cookies halfway in the melted white chocolate and place on wax paper.
  10. Sprinkle with additional cinnamon-sugar mixture if desired and let set until chocolate hardens.
