Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with heavy-duty aluminum foil.
- Arrange the bacon in a single layer on the foil.
- In a bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of maple syrup and cayenne pepper.
- Brush the mixture over the bacon using a pastry brush.
- Bake the bacon for 18-22 minutes until crisp, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Remove the bacon from the oven and transfer it to a paper towel-lined plate using tongs.
- If desired, brush the bacon with the remaining 1 tablespoon of maple syrup before serving.
