Ingredients

The popcorn

  • ½ cup popcorn kernels

The bacon mixture

  • 3 slices high-quality bacon
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook the bacon in a large roasting pan for 6 minutes, then flip and cook for another 6 to 8 minutes until lightly browned.
  3. Remove the bacon and let it cool, leaving the grease in the pan.
  4. Pop the popcorn using your preferred method and set aside.
  5. Add maple syrup and salt to the bacon grease in the pan and stir.
  6. Add the popped popcorn to the pan and stir to coat evenly.
  7. Chop the cooked bacon finely and mix it into the popcorn.
  8. Lower the oven temperature to 300°F and bake the popcorn mixture for about 8 minutes, stirring every few minutes.
  9. Cool the popcorn on a wire rack and store in an airtight container.
