Lemon Chicken Wings

Ingredients

The brine

  • ¼ cup kosher salt
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 leaf dried bay leaf
  • 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1 whole lemon
  • 1 tablespoon black peppercorns
  • 8 cups water

The chicken wings

  • pounds party style chicken wings

For serving

  • 4-6 pieces lemon wedges
  • to taste ranch dip (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil 1 cup of water and dissolve salt and honey in it.
  2. Add garlic, bay leaf, rosemary, peppercorns, lemon juice, and squeezed lemon pieces to the brine.
  3. Pour 7 cups of cold water into the brine and stir.
  4. Submerge chicken wings in the brine, cover, and refrigerate for 2 to 8 hours.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  6. Prepare a baking sheet with foil and cooking spray.
  7. Remove wings from the brine, pat dry, and arrange in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes or until wings are golden brown.
  9. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and ranch dip if desired.
