  • cups whole-wheat flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Mix the butter and sugar until combined, then add the egg, vanilla, peppermint, and salt, mixing well.
  3. Gradually add the cocoa powder and flour, mixing until blended.
  4. Pack the dough into a cookie press and press onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing cookies about 1 inch apart.
  5. Bake for about 10 minutes until firm to the touch.
  6. Cool on racks and store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for later.
