Ingredients

The flatbread and sauce

  • 2 large Naan loaves
  • ½ cup pizza sauce

The toppings

  • ¼ cup pesto
  • ½ pound Italian sausage
  • 1 small zucchini
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese
  • ¼-⅓ cup ricotta cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Place the flatbreads on the baking sheet and set aside.
  3. Cook the Italian sausage in a pan until completely cooked, then remove it while leaving some drippings in the pan.
  4. Sauté the zucchini in the sausage drippings for 2-3 minutes until softened, then drain and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Spread pizza sauce over the flatbreads, then top with cooked sausage, zucchini, and shredded mozzarella.
  6. Bake for 5-6 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from the oven, add dollops of ricotta cheese, and drizzle with pesto.
  8. Cut into pieces and serve immediately.
