Cheesy Italian Sausage Bread

Instructions
- Cook the sausage and onion in a skillet until browned, then drain and chill.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 ¼ cups of flour, yeast, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat milk, butter, sugar, and salt until warm, then mix with the flour mixture and add the egg.
- Beat the mixture for 30 seconds, then on high for 3 minutes.
- Stir in remaining flour until a soft dough forms, then knead until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into thirds, resting for 10 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare loaf pans with parchment paper.
- Combine the sausage mixture with the cheeses in a bowl.
- Roll each dough portion into ropes and cut into 1-inch pieces.
- Layer dough pieces and cheese mixture in the loaf pans, repeating layers.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden, then cool slightly before serving.
