Ingredients

  • 4 oz uncooked hot Italian poultry sausage
  • 1 12” Boboli Whole Wheat Pizza Crust
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • cup shredded 2% Mozzarella cheese
  • cup part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up until browned.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce on the crust, leaving a ½ inch edge.
  4. Sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes over the sauce, then add Mozzarella cheese.
  5. Dollop ricotta cheese around the pizza, then add basil and cooked sausage.
  6. Sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.
  7. Bake the pizza on a baking sheet, pizza stone, or directly on the oven rack for 8-10 minutes.
