Instructions
- Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5-6 minutes, then place on paper towels to drain.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of whole grain bread.
- Assemble the sandwich with one slice of bread, cheese, cherries, basil, bacon, and another slice of cheese.
- Place the sandwich in the hot skillet and cook until golden on the bottom, about 3-5 minutes, using a heavy skillet on top.
- Flip the sandwich and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted, about 3-5 more minutes.
