Cheddar Apple Bacon Grilled Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons light butter
  • 4 slices light wheat bread
  • 2 oz sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ medium apple
  • 4 slices center cut bacon

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each piece of bread with ½ tablespoon of butter.
  2. Place two slices of bread butter side down on a skillet.
  3. Spread cheddar cheese over the bread, reserving a little for the top.
  4. Top with apple slices and criss-cross the bacon over the apple.
  5. Place the reserved slices of bread on top, butter side up.
  6. Cook on medium heat for about 3 minutes until golden on the bottom.
  7. Flip the sandwiches carefully and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden on both sides.
