Ingredients

The rice

  • 1 cup sushi rice, uncooked

  • ½ teaspoon salt

The seasoning

  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice thoroughly to remove excess starch.
  2. Add the rinsed rice, water, and salt to the Instant Pot, ensuring the sealing ring is properly in place.
  3. Close the lid and pressure cook on high for five minutes.
  4. After cooking, turn off the Instant Pot and let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.
  5. Transfer the cooked rice to a glass bowl and fluff with a fork.
  6. Stir in the rice vinegar, sugar, and extra salt gently.
  7. Allow the rice to cool to room temperature before serving.
