Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cool water for 3 minutes and let it dry for 15 minutes.
- In a pot, combine the rice with 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.
- Cover, reduce heat to low, and cook for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let the rice stand, covered, for 15 minutes.
- Dissolve the salt and sugar in rice vinegar by microwaving in 30-second intervals.
- Transfer the rice to a large glass or wooden bowl and drizzle the vinegar mixture over it.
- Gently fold the vinegar mixture into the rice.
- Let the rice cool for 10 minutes before serving.
