Instructions
- Rinse the rice until the water runs clear, then place it in a saucepan with water and bring to a boil.
- Cover the saucepan, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it stand covered for 5 minutes, then cool for 20 minutes.
- In a separate saucepan, combine vinegar, sugar, salt, and oil, bringing it to a boil and then simmering until the sugar dissolves.
- Allow the vinegar mixture to cool while the rice is cooling.
- Transfer the cooled rice to a serving dish and drizzle the vinegar mixture over it, stirring to combine.
- Let the rice stand for a few minutes to firm up before serving.
