Ingredients

Chocolate Cake Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon instant espresso powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • cups sugar
  • teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Chocolate Glaze Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 6 ounces bittersweet or dark chocolate

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a Bundt pan with butter and flour.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter, cocoa powder, espresso powder, salt, and water over medium heat.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and baking soda.
  4. Combine half of the melted butter mixture with the dry ingredients and mix until thick.
  5. Add the remaining butter mixture and mix well, then add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
  6. Stir in Greek yogurt and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40 to 45 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool for 15 minutes before inverting onto a rack.
  9. For the glaze, combine all ingredients in a saucepan and heat until chocolate melts, then cool slightly before drizzling over the cake.
