Ingredients

Pasta and Veggies

  • 12 oz fettuccine
  • 12 oz broccoli florets

Alfredo Sauce

  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 cups half and half
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¾ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine in salted water according to package instructions.
  2. Add broccoli during the last 3-4 minutes of cooking.
  3. Drain the pasta and broccoli, then return to the pot.
  4. In a separate saucepan, melt butter and add half and half, stirring until it simmers.
  5. Cook the sauce for 5-8 minutes until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add garlic powder, salt, black pepper, cayenne, and Parmesan cheese to the sauce.
  7. Pour the sauce over the pasta and broccoli, tossing to coat.
  8. Serve immediately, adding more Parmesan on top if desired.
