Instructions
- Cut the potatoes into chunks about an inch thick.
- Add the potatoes to a large pot with cold water or broth, covering them by an inch.
- Bring the liquid to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook until the potatoes are tender.
- Drain the excess liquid from the pot.
- Mash the potatoes with a potato masher.
- Add buttermilk, Greek yogurt or sour cream, butter, and spices.
- Stir until creamy.
