Easy Mashed Potatoes

Instructions
- Wash and peel the potatoes.
- Cut the potatoes into quarters and place them in a pot.
- Fill the pot with cold water, ensuring the potatoes are submerged, and add a half teaspoon of salt.
- Bring the pot to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Cook the potatoes for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
- Drain the potatoes and transfer them to a mixing bowl.
- Add the butter and heavy cream to the bowl and mash until smooth.
- Mix in the seasonings and adjust to taste.
- Serve topped with a pat of butter.
