Homemade Creamy Mashed Potatoes

The potatoes

Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and cut into one inch cubes
The seasoning and dairy

heaping teaspoon
kosher salt

unsalted butter

whole milk
Instructions
- Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large saucepan.
- Cover the potatoes with cold water and add one heaping teaspoon of salt.
- Bring the water to a boil and cook the potatoes for about ten minutes until fork tender.
- Drain the water and add the butter and a pinch of salt to the potatoes, then mash them.
- Stir in the milk and adjust seasoning with more salt or butter if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
