Instructions

  2. Whisk together egg and water to make egg wash.
  3. Arrange wonton wrappers on a clean surface and brush edges with egg wash.
  4. Place a rounded teaspoon of filling in the center of each wrapper.
  5. Fold the wrappers to seal them, ensuring all seams are pressed together.
  6. For frying, heat oil to 375°F and fry wontons in small batches until golden brown.
  7. For baking, preheat oven to 350°F, place filled wontons in muffin cups, and bake until golden brown.
  8. Serve with pepper jelly if desired.
