Slow Cooker Tri-Tip Sandwiches

Ingredients

The meat

  • 1 trimmed tri-tip tri-tip
  • 1 cup water or beef/chicken broth
  • to taste seasoning salt

The sandwich assembly

  • 5 pieces French rolls
  • 5 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 ¼ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¾ cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. 1. Rub seasoning salt over the tri-tip.
  2. 2. Place tri-tip and water or broth in the slow cooker and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or low for 6 to 8 hours.
  3. 3. Once cooked, shred the meat in the slow cooker using two forks.
  4. 4. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  5. 5. Spread mayonnaise on the inside of the rolls, then fill with shredded tri-tip and cheese.
  6. 6. Bake for 5 to 6 minutes until the bread is toasted and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. 7. Add BBQ sauce and serve.
