Ingredients

The cocktail base

  • 1 large grapefruit, juiced plus extra slices for garnish
  • 1 unit lime, juiced plus extra slices for garnish
  • 2 ounces orange juice
  • 4-6 ounces Mezcal
  • ΒΌ cup honey or agave (or to taste)
  • 12-14 ounces your favorite kombucha (e.g., ginger, berry, citrus)
  • 4 ounces flavored sparkling water or club soda (optional)

For garnish

  • to taste unit Muddled herbs (like mint and/or basil)
  • to taste unit Mint (optional)
  • to taste unit Coarse salt for glasses
  • to taste unit Optional ice (large cube or crushed)

Instructions

  1. Juice the grapefruit, lime, and orange in a large container, saving extra slices for garnish.
  2. Mix in muddled herbs if desired.
  3. Add the mezcal and stir in honey or agave, adjusting to taste.
  4. Moisten the rim of each glass with lime and dip in coarse salt if desired.
  5. Add crushed ice to the glasses if using.
  6. Pour the mezcal citrus juice blend evenly into the glasses.
  7. Top each glass with kombucha and add sparkling water if desired.
  8. Garnish with sliced citrus and herbs before serving.
