Turmeric Ginger Tea

fresh turmeric grated (or ½ teaspoon ground turmeric)

fresh ginger grated (or ½ teaspoon ground ginger)

fresh lemon juice

honey

black pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Combine water, turmeric, and ginger in a medium saucepan.
- Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes over medium heat.
- Lower the heat and whisk in lemon juice and honey.
- Add black pepper if desired.
- If using fresh turmeric and ginger, strain the tea; if using powdered, blend well with an immersion blender.
- Serve the tea warm.
