Lemon Ginger Turmeric Tea

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 inch fresh turmeric root
  • 1 inch fresh ginger root
  • ½ lemon juiced
  • 1–4 teaspoons honey
  • a pinch ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Simmer water in a large pot.
  2. Peel and thinly slice the ginger and turmeric roots, then add them to the pot.
  3. Simmer for 10 minutes and then turn off the heat.
  4. Strain out the ginger and turmeric pieces.
  5. Stir in honey and black pepper, then serve hot.
