Ingredients

The sauce

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
  • ½ Tbsp cornstarch

The main ingredients

  • 8 oz. tempeh
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 4 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • 1 lb. frozen broccoli florets

Instructions

  1. Mix the sauce ingredients in a bowl until the cornstarch is dissolved and set aside.
  2. Cut the tempeh into thin triangles to ensure proper sauce coverage.
  3. Simmer the tempeh in a skillet with water until the water evaporates.
  4. Add the sesame sauce to the skillet and stir until it thickens.
  5. Assemble the bowls with rice, tempeh, broccoli, and green onions.
