Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C) and place a wire rack on a cookie sheet.
- Trim the woody ends of the asparagus and drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic salt and black pepper.
- Cut the bacon slices lengthwise into narrower strips and wrap each strip tightly around an asparagus stalk, placing seam side down on the wire rack.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then turn the asparagus over and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the bacon is nearly crispy.
- Broil for 1-2 minutes to crisp the bacon fully.
