Instructions
- Melt the butter for the dough in a small saucepan, then stir in the milk, maple syrup, and yeast, and set aside.
- In a stand mixer, combine flour and salt, then add eggs and the butter mixture, mixing until a dough forms. Add more flour if too sticky.
- Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for at least 30 minutes.
- For the filling, melt the butter and mix in the pecans, maple syrup, and cinnamon.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the filling evenly, and roll it up tightly.
- Cut the rolled dough into pieces and place them cut-side up in a greased baking dish. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix the frosting ingredients until smooth and pour over the warm rolls before serving.
