Grilled Peaches and Cream Gelato

Ingredients

  • 6 large peaches, cut in half and stone removed
  • 2 cups fruit
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill.
  2. Rub the grill grates with oil using paper towels to prevent sticking.
  3. Place peach halves on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes until caramelized.
  4. Turn the peaches and grill the skin side for another 5-7 minutes.
  5. Remove from the grill and carefully peel the skin off the peaches.
  6. Puree the peaches in a food processor and refrigerate until cool.
  7. In a mixing bowl, combine cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla, and mix until the sugar dissolves.
  8. Mix in the peach puree and pour the mixture into a gelato or ice cream maker.
  9. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for freezing.
  10. Allow to fully freeze before serving.
