Ingredients

The pork chops

  • 6 pieces lean pork loin chops
  • 1 ½ pounds pork loin
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 ½-2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 large white onion
  • 2 cloves garlic

The sauce

  • 2 cups low-fat milk
  • 3 ounces low-fat cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4-5 ounces Brie cheese

Instructions

  1. Rinse the pork chops and pat them dry.
  2. Whisk together flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roll each pork chop in the seasoning mixture.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook pork chops until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Remove pork chops and set aside.
  7. Add butter to the skillet and sauté onions, mushrooms, and garlic until tender.
  8. Blend milk, cream cheese, salt, flour, and black pepper until smooth.
  9. Add the sauce mixture to the skillet and cook until bubbly and thickened.
  10. Stir in Brie cheese until melted and smooth.
  11. Add pork chops back to the skillet and cover.
  12. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and pork chops reach 165°F.
