Instructions
- Prepare the tempeh bacon by slicing the tempeh and steaming it for 10 minutes.
- Mix the marinade ingredients in a bowl and marinate the steamed tempeh for at least 15 minutes.
- Sauté the marinated tempeh in a skillet until browned and crispy.
- For the chipotle aioli, finely dice one chipotle pepper and mix it with mayo, adobo sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder, and salt.
- To assemble the sandwich, mash half an avocado and spread it on one slice of toasted bread.
- Spread chipotle aioli on the other slice, then layer with sliced tomatoes, tempeh bacon, and lettuce.
- Close the sandwich and enjoy.
