Ingredients

The pizza base

  • 1 recipe Whole Wheat Pizza Dough or your favorite pizza dough

The toppings

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¾ pound Brussels sprouts
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups freshly grated mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon, cool it, and chop it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  3. Sauté the Brussels sprouts with olive oil and salt until they begin to soften.
  4. Add balsamic vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes to the Brussels sprouts and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Roll the pizza dough into an 11x14-inch rectangle and brush with olive oil.
  6. Layer half of the mozzarella cheese, sautéed Brussels sprouts, remaining mozzarella, bacon, and feta on the dough.
  7. Bake the pizza for about 12 minutes until crisp and golden.
  8. Remove from the oven, let cool for 2 minutes, slice, and serve.
