Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, then add garlic and onion, cooking until fragrant.
- Add the shredded hash browns to the skillet and mix with the butter, garlic, and onion.
- Season the hash browns with salt, pepper, and seasoned salt, then cook as per package instructions.
- For the cheese sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then whisk in flour until combined.
- Gradually add milk while whisking, bringing the mixture to a quick boil before reducing to low heat.
- Continue whisking until the mixture thickens, then add dry mustard and mix thoroughly.
- Slowly incorporate the cheese into the sauce, whisking until combined.
- Combine the cooked hash browns in a casserole dish with the cheese sauce and chopped bacon.
- Mix everything together and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
