Ingredients

  • 2 hearts romaine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste freshly cracked black pepper
  • to taste Maldon sea salt
  • ΒΌ cup freshly grated parmesan

Instructions

  1. Drizzle olive oil over the romaine hearts and sprinkle with black pepper and sea salt.
  2. Brush olive oil onto the grill grates to prevent sticking.
  3. Set the grill for direct and indirect heat.
  4. Place the romaine hearts on the grill and cook until bright green with char marks.
  5. Flip the lettuce and continue cooking for a few more minutes.
  6. Remove the grilled romaine and chop it into bite-sized pieces.
  7. Drizzle with more olive oil, sprinkle with parmesan, pepper, and sea salt, then toss to serve.
