Ingredients

The lettuce

  • 1 unit Romaine Hearts

The seasoning

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste sea salt
  • to taste fresh ground black pepper
  • to taste Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the grill for direct heat.
  2. Rinse and dry the romaine hearts, then drizzle with olive oil, sea salt, and pepper.
  3. Grill the romaine hearts for 3-4 minutes on each side until char marks form and the lettuce begins to wilt.
  4. Remove from the grill and grate Parmesan cheese over the hearts, adding more olive oil if desired.
  5. Serve one heart per person or chop them up for a larger salad.
