Grilled Greens

Ingredients

The greens

  • 1 head romaine lettuce
  • 1 head radicchio
  • 1 bunch kale

The seasoning

  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • as needed tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prep the greens by quartering the heads of romaine and radicchio, keeping the core intact.
  2. Brush the cut sides of the head lettuces and both sides of the kale with olive oil, then season with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat the grill or grill pan to medium/high and brush with additional oil.
  4. Place the greens on the grill, cut side down for head lettuces, and grill until slightly wilted and beginning to brown, then flip and repeat.
  5. Remove from the grill and season with additional salt and pepper if desired.
