Easy Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ¼ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • to taste optional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a 9-inch by 5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray and parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cake flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until most lumps are gone.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes, rotating halfway through.
  6. Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
