Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Remove the stems and leaves from the strawberries and rinse them in cold water.
  2. Place the strawberries, lemon juice, and sugar in a food processor and process until liquefied.
  3. Add the milk and run the food processor until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Whip the cream until it thickens slightly, resembling buttermilk.
  5. Combine the whipped cream and strawberry mixture in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  6. Pour the mixture into a gelato or ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  7. Transfer the gelato to a freezer-safe container and allow it to fully freeze for 2-3 hours before serving.
