Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9”x5” loaf pan with aluminum foil.
- For the base, whisk together oats, coconut, almond flour, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add almond butter and maple syrup, stirring to combine, then press the mixture into the loaf pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes and allow to cool completely in the pan.
- For the chocolate layer, mix almond butter, maple syrup, water, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl.
- Add cocoa powder and salt, mixing until well combined, then set aside.
- For the crumb topping, mix oats, coconut, arrowroot, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Add almond butter and maple syrup to the crumb mixture and combine until it forms large crumbs.
- Spread the chocolate layer evenly over the cooled base, then crumble the topping over it and press down lightly.
- Sprinkle chocolate/butterscotch chips over the crumb layer.
- Bake for 11-13 minutes until golden brown, then allow to cool before slicing into squares.
