Ingredients

The base

  • 2 ripe bananas Banana
  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Optional add-ins

  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (optional; or handful of walnuts)
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Mash the ripe bananas on a plate and divide them between two jars.
  2. To each jar, add 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon, ½ teaspoon of vanilla, and ½ cup of milk. Stir well.
  3. Add ½ cup of rolled oats to each jar and stir again.
  4. Cover the jars with lids and refrigerate overnight or for at least 6 hours.
  5. When ready to eat, stir the oats and add an extra splash of milk and maple syrup if desired.
  6. You can eat them cold or heat them in a saucepan for 2 to 3 minutes.
