Red Sangria

Ingredients

The base

  • 1 bottle Garnacha or Pinot Noir
  • ½ cup brandy

The fruit

  • 1 large orange
  • 1 small lemon
  • 1 cup seasonal fruit (e.g., apple, pear, strawberries, peaches)

The sweetener

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup

For serving

  • as needed none ice

Instructions

  1. Slice the orange in half and squeeze the juice of one half into a pitcher.
  2. Thinly slice the remaining half of the orange and add it to the pitcher.
  3. Add the seasonal fruit and lemon slices to the pitcher.
  4. Pour in the brandy and add 1 tablespoon of maple syrup.
  5. Pour the wine into the pitcher and stir to combine.
  6. Taste and add more maple syrup if desired.
  7. Serve immediately or refrigerate for 2 to 8 hours before serving.
