Ingredients

The base

  • 13.5 oz full-fat coconut milk
  • 4.5 oz avocado
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup water

Optional toppings

  • to taste vegan hot fudge
  • to taste vegan sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Blend the avocado and coconut milk until smooth.
  2. Add cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla, and water, then blend until fully incorporated.
  3. For an ice cream machine, chill the mixture for 2 hours, then churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  4. For no-churn, freeze the mixture in a container for 3-4 hours, whisking every 20 minutes to prevent ice crystals.
  5. Serve immediately or thaw for 5-10 minutes before scooping.
