Ingredients

The ice cream base

  • 2 large ripe avocados, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup canned lite coconut milk
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • cup cacao powder
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • tsp fine sea salt

Optional toppings

  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips or cacao nibs

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients except chocolate chips until smooth and creamy.
  2. Stir in chocolate chips if using.
  3. Pour mixture into a container and freeze for at least 4-6 hours until solid.
  4. Let soften for 10-20 minutes before scooping and serving.
