Ingredients

The turkey

  • 1 piece bone-in turkey breast (2-7 pounds)

The seasoning

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground thyme
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

The fat

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Pat the turkey breast dry and place it in a roasting pan with the skin side up.
  3. Rub the spices into the turkey, seasoning all sides.
  4. Cut the butter into small slices and place them over the seasoned turkey.
  5. Bake the turkey until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees, approximately 20 minutes per pound.
  6. Remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
