Instructions
- 1. Prepare the marinade by mixing all marinade ingredients together in a bowl.
- 2. Add the flank steak to a marinating dish and pour the marinade over the top. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for more flavor.
- 3. In a food processor or blender, pulse all chimichurri ingredients until just combined, ensuring some texture remains.
- 4. Preheat the grill to 450°F and grease it. Heat for about 10 minutes.
- 5. Add the marinated flank steak to the hot grill and sear each side for one minute.
- 6. After searing, reduce heat to medium and cook each side for an additional 3-4 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness (125°F for rare, 135°F for medium).
- 7. Let the meat rest for at least 10 minutes before cutting.
- 8. Spoon the chimichurri sauce over the steak and sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving.
