Ingredients

The burger mixture

  • 1 cup cooked black beans
  • 1 cup cooked lentils
  • 1 cup cooked veggies of choice
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup almond flour
  • ¼ cup sunflower seeds
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Toppings

  • 6 pieces burger buns
  • to taste lettuce
  • to taste pickles
  • to taste red onion
  • to taste tomato
  • to taste ketchup
  • to taste mustard
  • to taste vegan mayo
  • to taste dairy free cheese

Instructions

  1. Pulse all ingredients in a food processor until crumbly but not mushy.
  2. Allow the mixture to set for 5-10 minutes to let the oats soak up some liquid.
  3. Shape the mixture into 6 patties.
  4. Cook the patties in a pan over medium heat for 6-8 minutes on each side, keeping the pan covered.
  5. Allow the burgers to cool slightly before serving on buns with your favorite toppings.
