Japanese Coffee Jelly

Ingredients

The jelly

  • 2 cups water
  • ½ stick Kanten Powder
  • 2 tbsp Instant Coffee
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Optional toppings

  • ¼ cups whipped cream

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat water in a pot and sprinkle in the kanten, bringing it to a boil.
  2. 2. Reduce heat and simmer for 1-2 minutes until the kanten dissolves.
  3. 3. Stir in sugar and instant coffee until dissolved.
  4. 4. Pour the mixture into cups or molds and chill in the fridge to set.
  5. 5. Once set, cut into cubes or serve directly in the cup, adding whipped cream if desired.
