Slow Cooker Sweet Potatoes and Apples

Instructions
- Spray the crock with cooking spray.
- Add half of the cubed sweet potatoes and spread evenly.
- Add half of the sliced apples and spread evenly.
- Mix together the sage, cinnamon, salt, and pepper, then sprinkle half of it over the apples.
- Mix together the melted butter, maple syrup, and brown sugar, then pour half of it over the apples.
- Layer the remaining sweet potatoes and apples.
- Sprinkle with the remaining spice mixture and butter mixture.
- Cover and cook on Low for 5-7 hours, or until the sweet potatoes are soft.
- Use a potato masher to mash the sweet potatoes and apples together.
- Serve as a side dish with your favorite poultry dinner.
