Instructions
- Mix the hoisin sauce, toasted sesame oil, ketchup, agave nectar or honey, soy sauce, five-spice powder, and garlic powder in a bowl to create the char siu sauce.
- In a skillet, mix 2 Tbsp. of char siu sauce with 1 Tbsp. water. Drain and slice the tofu into rectangles, then cook in the skillet until browned and coated with sauce.
- Repeat the cooking process with the second package of tofu.
- Assemble the sliders by spreading mayonnaise on the bao, adding soy sauce, a slice of tofu, char siu sauce, pickles, chile sauce, cucumbers, and cilantro.
