Ingredients

The steak

  • 1 lb tenderized flank steak

The marinade

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • to taste salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Blend garlic, cilantro, red wine vinegar, lime juice, olive oil, smoked paprika, cumin, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper in a food processor until finely diced.
  2. Marinate the flank steak in 3/4 of the marinade for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (375-400°F).
  4. Prepare the grill grates with cooking spray or oil.
  5. Grill the marinated flank steak for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  6. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve with the reserved marinade.
