Sweet Potato Casserole

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Peel, cube, and boil the sweet potatoes until tender, about 10 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and add butter, vanilla, milk, egg, and syrup; mash or mix until smooth.
- Transfer the mashed sweet potato mixture to a square casserole dish.
- For the topping, mix together pecans and flour, then melt butter and syrup together and stir into the mixture.
- Spread the pecan topping evenly over the sweet potato mixture.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly.
