Slow Cooker Beef Bone Broth

Ingredients

  • 2 medium carrots, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 7 cloves garlic, smashed
  • pounds beef bones
  • 2 leaves bay leaves
  • to taste Kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (optional)
  • water enough to cover ingredients

Instructions

  1. Prepare the vegetables and place them in the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker.
  2. Add the beef bones on top of the vegetables.
  3. Tuck in the bay leaves, sprinkle with salt, and drizzle the vinegar over the bones.
  4. Pour enough water into the slow cooker to cover all the ingredients.
  5. Set the slow cooker to cook on low for 8-10 hours.
  6. Once done, strain the broth to discard the solids.
  7. You can serve some immediately or store it in a container for later use.
